HDR is looking for a Project Manager to join our Utility Management Services (UMS) team in our Colorado Water Business Group. HDR’s UMS team supports water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities with master planning, hydraulic modeling, asset management, rates and finance, and operations consulting. Candidates for this position should desire a role in the water/wastewater engineering industry that includes working closely with both our clients and internal staff to build successful teams. This role will work to drive and develop business across Colorado in our Water Business Group. In this role we’ll count on you to:

  • Participate in delivery of project services to meet client expectations, including project management.
  • Market and deliver UMS services to existing and potential clients.
  • Support other business classes with marketing efforts.
  • Participate in internal and external professional discipline groups, project teams, and activities to continually improve standards and best practices including presentations for professional associations.
  • Implement effective quality assurance and quality control reviews.
  • Participate in business class strategic planning, budgeting, and plan implementation.
  • Commit to quality, improvement, and HDR values.
  • Schedule, assign, and review work of project team members.
  • Support Colorado’s tactical plan for our UMS business class.
  • Support of project team building and drinking water and wastewater opportunities and projects including facility planning, master planning, business case evaluations, asset management, GIS-related efforts, condition assessment, and data management.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline within the industry.
  • PE license in the state of Colorado
  • Minimum of 7 years of water, wastewater, and stormwater engineering experience including utility management services experience.
  • A minimum 2 years project management experience
  • Project management experience with utility management and/or operational related services.
  • Strong client relations skills, along with an interest in client and business development.
  • Must have excellent communications, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be actively engaged in professional and industry organizations.
  • Must be an excellent team player with the ability to function effectively in a variety of roles on integrated project teams.
  • An attitude and commitment to be an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
  • Experience in hydraulic modeling software applications such as InfoWater, WaterGEMS, WaterCAD, EPANET, InfoSewer, SewerGEMS, SewerCAD, InfoSWWM and InfoWorks WS/CS/ICM is preferred.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS, mapping and analysis is preferred

The expected compensation range for this position is $101,710.00 – $159,830.00 annually/hourly depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
