THPRD is looking for…

  • Community and safety-oriented individuals who desire to share their passion for sports and leadership and can also communicate with a wide range of people.
  • Volleyball Officials who can inform and enforce sports rules, playtimes, schedule revisions, and pre-game captain’s meetings, etc.
  • Individuals who can maintain groups while performing their duties indoors (fall, winter, spring) and outdoors (summer).

The Volleyball Official is responsible for following and implementing THPRD league rules to ensure good sportsmanship is always demonstrated. Our team is seeking people who can support the needs of individuals and provide a safe, caring environment.

Typical Shifts
Adult Leagues: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Youth Leagues: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., and three Saturday tournaments

THPRD is hiring for multiple positions to support multiple facilities, up to 29 hours per week; hours vary. Part-time employees are scheduled variable hours and may work less than 1,560 hours per year.

Additional information about this role:

  • This job is primarily performed indoors in the fall, winter, and spring and outdoors in the summer, including excessive temperatures and inclement weather.
  • Requires standing and walking for long periods of time and officiating sets/matches.
  • Staff are typically exposed to noises and interruptions, such as bouncing balls, sudden loud noises, multiple voices, and yelling in a crowded environment.
  • Physical exertion may be to lift sporting equipment items weighing less than 40 pounds.
