Venue Programming Manager
Wage: $38,000 +
Shift: Full-time, 40 hrs/week. May include evenings, Saturdays and Holidays

Summary: The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about Thanksgiving Point’s mission and about the opportunity to work alongside a highly collaborative and dynamic team. The Guest Experiences Committee is committed to enriching the experience of guests and program participants, and cultivating participation from diverse audiences in a world-class venue.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the decision-making for the success and profitability of the Museum of Natural Curiosity, including programs, activities, exhibits, training, and budgeting
- Support Explorers in providing inquiry based, guest driven facilitation at the Museum of Natural Curiosity
- Support the facilitation and guest services team (including volunteers and docents) in developing and implementing trainings, resources, and warm up activities
- Observe staff and provide feedback on facilitation best practices
- Foster an environment where positive, meaningful experiences naturally happen, and where multiple ideas are valued and explored
- Actively liaise and collaborate with other departments including Exhibits, Learning and Engagement, Signature Experiences, and Facilities to ensure quality guest experiences at venues
- Model best practices, teamwork, and cooperation
- Assist in scheduling staff for the Museum of Natural Curiosity Facilitation
- Foster curiosity and inquiry learning skills, like questioning, exploring, testing, refining, and explaining during program delivery and interactions
- Assist with delivery of facilitated and unfacilitated programs including value-added programming, Signature Experiences, school field trips, birthday parties, day camps, and other educational programs
- Maintain an array of five (5) value added programs, offered during open hours at least ten (10) times weekly
- Maintain a Net Promoter Score of 78+.
- Engage guests in play activities to stimulate learning curiosity and foster critical thinking
- Interact with visitors of all ages to ignite transformative family learning and guide exploration
- Accept all guests as they are and welcome them without expectation or judgment
- Other duties as assigned by management team

Requirements:
- Experience and/or education in related field
- Arrive on time and work your scheduled shifts.
- Fully participate in training opportunities and on-the-job skill development.
- Accept assigned work tasks and complete them on time.
- Work proactively and efficiently, with attention to detail.
- Be self-motivated and organized.
- Willing to work outside your regular schedule when needed.
- Solve problems quickly and proactively.
- Valid Utah Driver’s License required.
- Pass a background check
