Job Description
This position will work with an underground utility crew in a safe and effective manner to ensure timely completion of our mass excavation, utility, paving, and concrete projects. We are looking for long-term candidates who value the opportunity for future advancement that our company offers. The successful candidate for this position will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Job duties include:
Wages starting at $18.00/hr. for entry level candidates. Some positions require no experience and Rogers Group will train. Higher pay for skilled applicants. A shift Overtime available and extensive medical and retirement benefits.
Lay storm drainage, sanitary sewer mains and water mains.
Follow prescribed safety regulations.
Communicate with the team on the jobsite to keep them safe and complete work correctly.
Cooperate with others in a team environment.
Accept direction from supervisors.
Work in all types of weather conditions, hot, cold, inclement weather.
Must be able to lift, push, pull in excess of 50 lbs.
Exposure to loud noise, dust and toxic materials
Work in confined spaces
Qualifications
Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience as a skilled pipe layer on heavy civil projects preferred, but not required.
A team player who works well with others.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and creativity required.
Must be self-motivated, calm under pressure, and consistently able to meet deadlines, while always keeping Safety at the forefront.
Must have reliable transportation to get back and forth to work each day.
Must Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Background check.
