User Researcher – SC Cleared Start: ASAP
Length: 6 months initial
Location: Portsmouth (1-2 days a week onsite) Rate: £400PD – £450PD

They are looking for an experienced and SC Cleared User Researcher to support a data integration and analytics platform, and improving efficiency, insight and decision making across the programme and wider business areas.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team you will develop data solutions which provide insights to decision makers. Responsibilities:
- Identify, interview and observe users and stakeholders.
- Champion user needs, user-centred design, and usability, and employ of a range of user-centred practices
- Work collaboratively with other roles, particularly BA,PM and DM.
- Align user research with team goals to support decision-making
Skillset:
- Experience of research, design and development of digital services for government, working in an agile environment
- Capturing, challenging, distilling and presenting user needs and ensuring they can be used to inform and assess potential options.
- Proficient at conducting virtual interviews
- Ability to source and secure research tools to enable expediting research analysis and synthesis
- Developing research related artefacts i.e. personas and user journey maps etc. including all kinds of users in appropriate research activities and advocating for inclusive practices that help teams design and deliver accessible services that work for all users
- Working knowledge of accessibility and assisted digital support Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1)
- Providing and presenting quantitative and qualitative data
- Conducting research analysis and synthesis, and presenting findings in easily digestible and visual formats
- Comfortable with uncertainty and strategies for dealing with it as part of a team.
- Collaborative, personable and a good visual, literal and verbal communicator.
