The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Training Systems Vehicle Simulation Associate Software Engineer to join the Boeing Global Services Training and Professional Services Training System organization located in Hazelwood, MO. We are looking for software engineers for software development on the MQ-25 Test Training Rehearsal Unit (TTRU). T he successful candidates will collaborate with product management and leadership, subject matter experts, engineering teams, throughout the entire development, fielding and operational lifecycle of the training system in developing software for the MQ-25 TTRU. As a Software Engineer you will work with a team in a casual but professional environment where there is long-term potential for career growth into management or technical leadership positions.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
- Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
- Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
- Fixes software issues.
- Works under general supervision.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry
- 1+ years of experience with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada
- 1+ years of experience with real-time embedded software development
- Great understanding of Agile principles and hands on experience of at least one Agile software development methodology like Scaled Agile Framework
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Working with and/or developing software requirements/test methodology
Typical Education/Experience:
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
- In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Summary pay range for Experienced: $85,000.00 – $115,000.00
