About the Position:

The City of Grand Junction is looking for a highly motivated candidate who will perform a variety of duties involved in the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of street and traffic signs, markings, and related traffic signal systems. The successful candidate will also perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.

About Our Traffic Operations Division:

The traffic operations division is responsible for installing pavement markings and striping the City of Grand Junction roadways. We also fabricate, install, and maintain all signs within City limits. Members of our team are self-starters with a positive attitude and a dedicated work ethic. What You’ll Do:

  • Sign fabrication, installation, and maintenance.
  • Striping and marking applications.
  • Assist with traffic signal installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Street light maintenance and installation.

Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:

  • One (1) year of increasingly responsible public works field maintenance experience including experience in the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of street and traffic signs, markings, and related traffic signal systems.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Colorado Commercial Driver License within (1) one year of employment.

Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
