Test Automation Engineer Sr Advisor
Location : This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of our Elevance Health PulsePoint location in Cerritos CA.
We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer Lead with a diverse range of skills and expertise to join our team. The Test Automation Engineer Sr Advisor will have lead level experience in developing and implementing automated tests for web, mobile, and API applications using Java, Cucumber, Selenium, Git, Rest Assured. Additionally they will be responsible for performance testing, mobile test automation, and other programming languages would be considered as a plus point.
How you will make an impact:
- Develop and maintain automated tests for web, mobile, and API applications using Java, Cucumber, Selenium, Git, Rest Assured.
- Develop and maintain a roadmap for test automation, including identifying areas for automation, prioritizing automation efforts, and setting goals and targets for automation coverage.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and resolve issues and bugs.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as development, QA, and operations, to ensure that test automation efforts align with overall business goals and objectives.
- Design and implement test plans, test cases, and test suites.
- Analyze test results, identify issues, and report them to the development team.
- Work with other teams, including product management and quality assurance, to ensure that all software applications meet high-quality standards.
- Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks and scripts.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest test automation trends, tools, and techniques.
- Develop and implement performance testing frameworks and scripts.
- Develop and implement mobile test automation frameworks and scripts.
- Identify and troubleshoot performance issues and bottlenecks.
- Continuously monitor and measure the effectiveness of test automation efforts, and report on automation metrics.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure that automated tests are integrated into the continuous integration and delivery process.
- Write scripts in other programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or JavaScript for test automation as and when required.
- Plays a leadership role in the design, development, and implementation of automation components.
- Establishes automation tools, frameworks and methodology.
- Mentors staff in testing automation processes.
- Establishes current automation architectures as business and technical conditions change.
- Supervises the use of appropriate automation methods to employ to assure developed product conforms to requirements and design.
- Facilitates review of applications for automation needs and requirements/design quality.
- Provides consultation to projects and application support groups regarding automation design, development and execution.
- Understands organizational impacts and trade-offs of automation processes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 7 years of testing automation experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
- 6+ years of experience in test automation using Java, Cucumber, Selenium, Git, Rest Assured, and Postman strongly preferred.
- Strong programming skills in Java strongly preferred.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, or TestNG strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Git or other version control systems preferred.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery concepts and tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo preferred.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and practices preferred.
- Expertise in performance testing using tools such as JMeter preferred.
- Expertise in mobile test automation using tools such as Appium.
- Scripting using other programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or JavaScript strongly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior automation engineers.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $109,032 to $170,982
