Volt is immediately hiring for a temporary Tax Analyst based out of the East Coast.

This is a fully remote position.

The temporary Tax Analyst is primarily responsible for the transaction tax returns preparation and filing process. and customer service. A successful candidate must be efficient, accurate, deadline driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must also understand basic math, including percentages.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the rest of the compliance team to prepare sales and lodging tax returns based on deadline requirements.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of the client’s sales and use tax accounts.
  • Maintain/update new and existing customer information.
  • Investigate and resolve customer notices received from jurisdictions.

This is a full time opportunity.

The ideal candidate will be/have:

  • 2 years of previous related experience
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Efficient, accurate and deadline driven
  • Proficient in basic math, including percentages
  • Adept with written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task under constant time constraints
  • Able to troubleshoot, and problem solve in a quick, calm, analytical and methodical manner
  • Capable of learning/using different software applications and tools
  • Knowledgeable in Excel, Word and Outlook

Pay Rate $20.00 per hour.

Day shift Monday through Friday.
