Here’s what you’ll be working on:

  • Interface with the command center team on changes impacting current planning methodologies
  • Monitor planning KPI’s and provide recommendations
  • Integrate new planning process such as DDMRP into current processes and planning parameters
  • Work with the master planners to set appropriate planning flags in the system
  • Be the site lead for all planning MRP, DDMRP, Rapid Response, SAP, and /or other system changes and integration
  • Planning, coordinating, scheduling, and suggesting changes to program plans.
  • Providing statistical information for Master Scheduling, Engineering, Program Management and Contracts based on lead time computations, parts availability and capacity/schedule constraints.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing Supervision and support groups to provide a workable schedule and assists in correcting work center load imbalances.
  • Responsible for monitoring total scope and progress of program plan.
  • With the aid of MBS-MRP establish and maintain systems and procedures relating to obtaining and controlling of engineering parts.
  • Analyze part requirements, orders, schedules, reschedules and expedite assigned items as necessary based on review of manually generated reports or MRP/data processing outputs.
  • Input/update part planning information for the Planning department.
  • Provide all pertinent data to accounting for termination’s/cancellations and obsolescence analysis.
  • Prepare and update reports and action plans for responsible programs and presents to Manufacturing Management, Program Management, Purchasing, Contracts, Quality, and Engineering. On occasion will prepare the same type of information and present to customers.
  • Train new employees and assists in overall training/education needs

At a minimum, you’ll need to meet these Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Business or Industrial Management with a minimum of two years experience as a Program Analyst. The equivalent would be an associate’s degree with eight years of manufacturing experience. In all cases, two years as a Program Analyst is a minimum. APICS certification would replace two to three years of manufacturing experience as it would demonstrate that the necessary knowledge had been obtained.
  • This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information
  • Obtain a security clearance or have the ability to obtain a security clearance

Additional Qualifications Include:

  • Experience making professional presentations to upper management.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to collect data and present in run charts or bi-modal type distributions. Strong statistical background is a plus.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry
  • Production Planning experience in a machine shop environment
  • Proficiency with advanced Excel functions (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
  • APICS certification or coursework is a plus
  • Experience with SAP or Rapid Response platforms
  • Knowledge of Demand Driven Process a strong plus
  • Supply chain experience
  • SQL programming experience
  • Have the sound understanding of general material control systems as well as a detailed understanding of the computer-based control systems used at Moog. This includes the master schedule, requirements planning, inventory control, kitting and shop floor control.
  • Have the personal drive and human relations skills to cope with the conflicting objectives of maximum shipments and minimum inventories.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Plans, coordinates, schedules, and suggests changes to program plans, Provides delivery information to Master Scheduling based on lead time computations
  • Determines Engineering Order change effectivities and impacts on schedules, monitors flow of parts and initiates kit pulls to A&T
  • Prepares line of balance charts
  • Resolves own program plan problems independently
  • Coordinates with other departments to provide a workable production schedule and assist in correcting work center load imbalances, analyzes part requirements, orders, schedules reschedules and expedites assigned items
  • Provides part number data to information services (order policy, type, estimated usage, lead time) for assigned parts

California Residents: Pay range for this opportunity is $90,000-$110,000 annually
