Position Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is an integral part of the Human Resources team in a growing company. This role is responsible for sourcing, attracting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding employees. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, 3+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, proficiency with applicant tracking systems, and an ability to devise sourcing strategies for potential applicants. Additionally, this position will assist in creating and delivering training on topics that meet the needs for talent acquisition for the company. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills for working closely with others across various departments.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the full recruitment life cycle, including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify needs and candidate selection criteria.
  • Create job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position.
  • Source applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake and other educational or professional networks.
  • Identify the most suitable candidates by assessing their CVs, portfolios, and references.
  • Maintain applicant tracking system for recruitment, promotions, and job changes.
  • Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related documents, to share with key stakeholders.
  • Assist with creation and delivery of focused training on applicable recruitment topics.
  • Coordinate and assist with company events that focus on recruitment, retention, and celebration.
  • Provide reporting on recruitment metrics and progress.
  • Ensure that all recruitment practices and procedures comply with employment legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices and communicate to HR team.
  • Work with external recruitment vendors on select positions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar HR role.
  • In-depth knowledge of full cycle recruiting and employer branding techniques.
  • Familiarity with a variety of different selection methods (interviews, assignments, plan presentations, etc.)
  • Hands on experience with posting jobs on social media and job boards.
  • Experience with HRIS (Paycom), ATS (Paycom), sourcing and recruitment marketing tools. Paycom proficiency a must.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook, Zoom, and other general office programs.
  • Strong knowledge of Human Resources employment law.
