Project/Unit Description
Major activities include:
- The establishment of an automated configuration system (data repository), a configuration control board, configuration control requirements and procedures in addition to providing guidance and direction to assure compliance.
- Complete management assurance that all technical requirements and schedules for documentation are met and properly phased and/or coordinated with the overall program schedule.
- Develops management controls to ensure that system definition in the Configuration Management Program is compatible in order to adequately support engineering, procurement, inspection, and maintenance phases.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all configuration management regulations, policies, and procedures and support contractual, production, logistics, documentation, audit and data management techniques.
- Apply this knowledge to the performance of assigned responsibilities. Provide technical guidance to the Program Office, other Agencies and the Partner on policies and requirements.
- Review changes to the documentation to assure compliance with configuration management policies and regulations.
- Review configuration management plan and prepares inputs based on the Task Order to assure adequate preparation of changes, inclusion of serialization provisions, and processing of changes by contractor and Government.
- Secretariate for the Configuration Control Board as an expert in documentation and configuration management.
- Establish the documentation required for the system baseline.
- Reviews and determines the adequacy and accuracy of the baseline.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this job is to establish the baseline for configuration management and data management for multiple programs led by this government organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build templates to assist SMEs in providing critical system information
- Define commonality across multiple types of data in order to index inputs from multiple sources
- Maintain well-defined and strict controls for the reports and data managed by the Government organization.
- Maintain the Integrated Master Schedule for the programs.
- Document all CM/DM processes and train the personnel in those processes.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of configuration management policies, regulations, procedures and supporting contractual, production, logistics, documentation, auditing and data management techniques to develop and manage a formal configuration management program.
- Comprehensive knowledge of administrative and managerial planning, coordinating, reviewing, and evaluating functions and processes to prepare and direct the preparation of Configuration Management Plan to include provisions for change control, standardization, serialization, and status accounting.
- Exercises skill in planning, organizing, and negotiating effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills..
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance
- Military/DoD experience
- Experience with the DoD Acquisition Process Experience with DoD Intelligence communities
- Certification as a PMI scheduling professional (PMI-SP)
- Experience using current CM/DM tools
Travel Requirements
10% – 25% travel

Salary
$93,081 – $129,970
U.S. Citizenship Requirements
Due to our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be U.S. Citizens.
Clearance Type Required
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
