Join the Bus Center of Excellence (CoE) team that will modernize small to large bus offerings! The Bus CoE Fault Management team develops and integrates technical solutions for hardware, software, and data architectures.
The team is responsible for the entire Fault Protection/Management design including development, integration, verification, delivery, and documentation of Bus CoE’s Fault Management architecture. Candidate will work under the direction of the FM Team Lead and will be responsible for ensuring FDIR products are built correctly, tested and verified across program test beds. The work will focus on Fault Detection Isolation and Recovery (FDIR) within both Bus CoE Software and Hardware. This includes the following:
– failure mode analysis of the hardware,
– review of FMEAs/Hazard reports,
– requirements development,
– algorithm development,
– data/parameter population,
– data validation,
– test & verification of the integrated algorithms.
Candidate must have a strong background in systems engineering and working knowledge of software with the ability to coordinate all aspects of FDIR among many disciplines. Candidate will be required to develop and communicate algorithms to the FSW team The selected applicant will be responsible for performing post-test data analysis.

Basic Qualifications:
-B.S. or higher degree from an accredited college in Engineering or Computer Science or a related discipline
– Experience interfacing with external stakeholders including other contractors and customers
– Experience in Systems Engineering and Software or Test Engineering
-Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
– Strong integration background spanning hardware, data and software; integration and anomaly resolution in development, test and verification; software development
– Experience in the design, development, and integration of embedded software systems.
– Experience with requirements derivation, verification and test specifically with software and electrical HW systems
– Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a collaborative and team -based environment and to effectively communicate with a diverse set of stakeholders about complex non/technical issues. Candidate must have the ability to work well with own team, as well as other departments, organizations, and customers

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $82,200 – $157,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
