System Industrialization Engineer

The mission of System Industrialization Engineer is to be the bridge between high-tech product development and both our factory and global customer service organization supporting the major semiconductor manufacturers, concentrating on industrializing innovative complex hardware designs in a way that they can be used efficiently in a high volume manufacturing and service environment.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities

  • System Industrialization Engineer is responsible to ensure reliability, availability, manufacturability and serviceability as well as operational cost of the next gen e-beam inspection/metrology systems. He or she does so by means of co-design, integration, validation and introduction of new products and processes.
  • Secondly, continuous improvement of the installed base with respect to operational requirements also falls under the responsibility of the System Industrialization Engineer.
  • In the ASML product development life cycle, System Industrialization Engineer has the following responsibilities:
  • Represent the operational sectors (Manufacturing and Service organizations) in the co-design phase and make sure the operational requirements are implemented in the design, steering RAMS design towards cycle time and availability targets
  • Responsible for new product introduction towards factory and field organization to enable high volume manufacturing and service
  • Responsible for short-term workaround as well as feedback and driving structural improvements towards design and engineering teams
  • Review technical documentation from multidisciplinary design and engineering team and provide input to make sure the sub-system/module design meets the cascaded (top-down) industrialization spec
  • Define and delivery documentations (including best knowledge method, manual, procedures, skill matrix, knowledge sharing and etc.), spare parts BOM and tooling (both hardware and software) for factory and global service organization
  • Be the expert in analysis of complex problems at the factory and customer site
  • Knowledge transfer from development to operational sectors including manufacturing and service organization
  • Support factory and service organization to minimize operational costs for volume products
  • Analyze global product performance and define requirements for next gen co-design improvement
  • This role is also responsible for master data management and conversion to ensure data availability and quality towards business end-users by driving improvements from requirement to delivery, in detail:
  • Synthesizes the data quality issues into clear process improvements, in particular as they relate to the management of data between PLM systems and ERP systems
  • Define and document data management processes, with primary focus on the ASML data policy, in collaboration with respective other groups/sectors
  • Define data management process metrics/KPI’s for measuring and controlling the effectiveness of processes and monitoring adherence to the data policy
  • Actively deploy master data management processes within the organization

Education and experience

  • M.Sc. in Engineering (such as Electronics, Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics) and Industrialization (a plus if candidates is familiar with Industrial/Production engineering and Design for Manufacturing), or Bachelor with similar experience within ASML.
  • With proven track of record, 3-5 years’ working experience in a multidisciplinary technical environment such as manufacturing/production and customer support/field service
  • Knowledge and experiences with high-tech SEM inspection/metrology system, vacuum system and high voltage system is preferred, not required
  • Experiences in semiconductor equipment development and new product introductions is a strong plus
  • Familiar with design/engineering, manufacturing and service processes
  • Used to work in time and budget driven high-pace project environments

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently $107,625-$179,375. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
