Responsibilities
The Senior EHR Instructor works in collaboration with the primary EHR instructors and the rest of the Clinical Systems Education team to support new hire onboarding as well as mastery level learning. The Senior EHR Instructor will assist with curriculum review and educational resource management in conjunction with the Instructional Designers/Senior Instructional Designers and will support project teams with a focus on Change Management communication/education. The Senior EHR instructor is expected to understand Mayo Clinic workflows, provide change related education to teams/groups/individuals as necessary and provide at the elbow support related to those changes. The Senior EHR Instructor will train and mentor other team members, and will participate in and lead internal workgroups/projects/initiatives. When assigned to lead an initiative the Senior EHR instructor will work independently and be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering all related activities. The Senior EHR Instructor will credential across instructor teams, be agile in their approach to upskilling, look for opportunities to learn new content, communicate well with internal CSE team as well as our external partners.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Adult Education, Training & Development, Human
Resources, medical or related field preferred. One to three years of related experience in
training related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Previous Training & Development
experience required. Exceptional interpersonal skills; strong verbal and written communication
skills and an understanding of business process are required.
Work in the EHR Instructor role for a minimum of 1 year and taught a minimum of 300 hours of classes
be upskilled in multiple pathways add continuously upskill in new content
mastered the virtual teaching environment including incorporating necessary improvements as they become available
utilize the appropriate tools for internal communications including: teams, click up, share point, etc.
