Job Summary: This is an on-call position and assignment hours vary. Under the direction of the Transportation Director, is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job description.
Pay Rates:
- $29.49/hour Substitute Bus Driver rate per 2023-24 Public School Employees Salary Schedule
- $20.00/hour during the driver training period
- $500 one-time bonus upon successful completion of training and 60 days of driving for the district
Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State driver’s license.
- Have at least five years of experience as a licensed driver of a passenger vehicle.
- Clean driving record (e.g., offenses committed with last 5 years which would be grounds for disqualification include but are not limited to: suspended license, 3 or more speeding tickets, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving. (WAC 392-144-101)
- Pass a criminal background/fingerprint check.
- Willing to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License – all necessary training will be provided by the School District.
- Submit to random drug tests after hire.
- Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.
