Subcontracts Administrator III

The Subcontracts Administrator III is responsible for managing the legal, financial, and operational risk of Cherokee Nation Businesses (CNB) and its subsidiaries through the administration of subcontract documents. This role involves drafting and negotiating various contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies, resolving subcontractor issues, and maintaining accurate contract records. The Subcontracts Administrator III plays a crucial role in supporting the procurement cycle and facilitating effective subcontract management.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Subcontracts Administrator III: $62,000 – $118,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Subcontracts Administrator III Responsibilities Include:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and leading negotiations of nondisclosure agreements, teaming agreements, and subcontract documents in accordance with CNB standards and policies.
  • Managing a complex portfolio of subcontract types, including international subcontracts, large dollar value projects, and nonstandard contracts for multiple LLCs.
  • Reviewing and resolving issues affecting subcontract performance, ensuring subcontractor compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and customer objectives.
  • Collaborating with operations teams on subcontract status, compliance, modification, negotiation, and termination.
  • Providing input on third-party contract documents, including terms and conditions, staffing contracts, software agreements, and other required subcontracts.
  • Coordinating internal review and obtaining internal and external signatures in accordance with company signature authority policy.
  • Acting as a liaison between the Legal department and Operations teams for escalated issues requiring additional review.
  • Maintaining a central library of all original contracts, related documentation, and correspondence, as well as a contract database with key contract elements.
  • Conducting research on federal regulations and contract provisions to advise decision makers on risks and responsibilities.
  • Researching and proposing solutions to complex problems.
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Subcontracts Administrator III Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of contract drafting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience negotiating contract terms and conditions.
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), including managing a variety of subcontract types.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments, work independently or in a group environment, and handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective subcontractor management and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • High level of professionalism, confidence, and integrity in dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Results-oriented mindset with strategic thinking abilities.
