Student Instructional Designer
Job Description:
- Researches, designs, schedules, and implements training projects.
- Assists employees with writing approach and technical issues.
- Analyzes specific needs of education development projects. Collects and reviews technical specifications required of education projects.
- Writes, designs, edits, and maintains documentation and training materials.
- Coordinates publication and dissemination of those materials.
- Develops, evaluates, and designs instructionally sound appropriate educational materials according to department specifications.
- Maintains education files and file hierarchy according to department specifications.
- May conduct platform or training classes in a live or on-line virtual environment
Expected Salary:
$15 per hour
Minimum Requirements:
- Prior experience in instructional design, graphic design, multimedia applications or related discipline preferred
- Experience using Adobe Captivate
- This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Storyline 360, TechSmith SnagIt, Cornerstone Learning Management System, DITA, and/or Oxygen XML Editor is a plus.
