About the Role

As a Strategic Account Manager, Treasury Wine Estates (TWE) can offer you the opportunity to be part of a high performing team where you will specialize in Strategic Accounts. Performance objectives are to attain or exceed current and long-term Sales and Distribution goals in accordance with TWE sales plans, programs, and budgets. The Key Performance Indicators are sales volume, sales value, new distribution, and achievement of annual operating plan.

Key responsibilities:

Customer Management

  • Primary Sales Representative for Treasury Wine Estates portfolio to assigned account base
  • Develop sales strategy for territory and account by aligning TWE portfolio, resources and objectives with customer brands and objectives
  • Grow Treasury Wine Estates portfolio depletion volume, feature and distribution within top accounts and total territory in accordance with company fiscal objectives
  • Service customer wine program execution by ensuring pricing and supply accuracy and by facilitating program compliance in the market place
  • Review annual account plans on a quarterly basis to ensure progress against goals
  • Provide feedback to Trade Marketing and/or Brand teams on customer & consumer trends
  • Weekly communication of all activities, issues, and opportunities to key stakeholders

Budget Management

  • Create and execute annual account plans that maximize customer performance and deliver net revenue objectives
  • Present investment spending strategy to assigned customers
  • Track investment spending within Spend Activity Detail and review monthly
  • Participate in detailed review of Spend Activity Detail report and communicate status quarterly for potential over/under spending conditions or potential issues

New Item Launch

  • Support cross-functional strategic planning around new product ideation and launch
  • Support cross-functional development of new product selling platforms and customer-specific presentations
  • Secure new product distribution, feature and programming in accordance with company and sales division objectives
  • Ensure new product program execution within account base by coordinating market sales, trade marketing and distributor sales execution

Accountability

  • This position has direct impact on the performance level of TWE’s brands in the chain segment by executing product placement, promotion, and pricing strategies
  • This position interacts with TWE’s personnel, key retailer and distributors on a daily basis
  • Problem solving and sales efforts are made without supervision; programming and presentations are developed without supervision
  • Position is home-office based

About you:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Marketing or related field
  • You have a minimum 3-5 years of customer management within beverage alcohol (Wine distributor or supplier sales preferred)
  • You have commercial experience and involvement in managing multi-unit accounts (strongly preferred)
  • You have the ability to assess consumer trends, develop sales presentations and strategies that engage retailers, distributors and TWE sales teams
  • You have the ability to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend activities
  • You are self-motivated and able to develop a work schedule with little guidance
  • You have strong analytical, written and verbal reasoning skills
  • You have advanced technical skills in MSOffice, Excel and PowerPoint
  • You have strong collaboration and influencing skills, including the ability to achieve business and functional objectives through partnership with other functional areas
  • You are high-energy and driven to achieve success
  • You are able to lift 50 lbs.
  • You have a valid driver’s license

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $110,000 to $146,000 per year plus bonus. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
