A Mechanical Designer job is available with a service client in Dayton, OH. The contractor must have AutoCAD experience, knowledge of HVAC and preferred Process Piping codes and materials. For security purposes, successful candidates must be able to pass National Agency Check and local law enforcement and credit checks as a condition of employment. This is an on-site position in Dayton, OH.
Responsibilities:
* Knowledge of industrial facilities mechanical installation techniques and engineering construction drawings of mechanical utilities under direction of engineers.
* Knowledge of industrial HVAC and process piping preferred
* Modify and update existing facility drawings under direction of senior designers.
* Ability to work in a team-environment with Air Force customers, other engineers, designers, and technicians.
Requirements:
* An Associate’s degree in drafting and/or design in an Engineering and Technology ABET accredited Engineering program.
* At least 10 years technical experience or training in CAD with piping experience
* Experience or training in the design of mechanical HVAC installation and mechanical process piping systems and some light structures.
* An understanding of the codes and principals of mechanical utilities and systems.
* Preferred knowledge of Bentley Micro Station. Client is transitioning from this to AutoCAD.
