Description
As the Staff Clinician you will be responsible for carrying a caseload of 30-35 diverse individuals seeking mental health treatment related to the effects of coercive control, and interpersonal and domestic violence. You will consistently utilize a person-centered, empowerment-based lens that focuses on the participants’ strengths and takes into consideration the impact of discrimination and oppression at the individual and institutional level. You will embody the values and mission of the YWCA to empower women and eliminate racism. You will receive weekly clinical supervision, bi-weekly group supervision, and quarterly staff meetings with other departments. Occasional evenings may be required to provide group therapy.
- Provide outpatient mental/behavioral health clinical therapy to Clinical Services program participants
- Complete biopsychosocial assessments
- Provide short- and longer-term therapy, consultation, assessment, and evaluation
- Serves as a member of the Clinical Services team and works collaboratively with other departments within the YWCA Central Massachusetts to provide comprehensive treatment and timely referrals to participants requesting services
- Maintain necessary paperwork and documentation as required by the clinical services department, funders, and the board of social work
- Provide consultation internally to staff and other YWCA Central Massachusetts departments regarding mental/behavioral health issues as related to gender based interpersonal and domestic violence
- Provide participant advocacy, outreach, and education in the community in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services as appropriate
- Adhere to all department and agency protocols regarding participant/member safety and security, boundaries, and confidentiality

- Respects and honors each participants right to self-determination and human dignity by utilizing a strengths-based, trauma informed, social justice orientated approach
- Perform other duties and work on specialized projects as assigned by the supervisor. This includes attendance at department, organization, and external/community meetings and/or trainings
Qualifications
- Maintain an active license to practice in MA (LCSW). For Social Workers, LCSW must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Multilingual/multicultural strongly preferred
- Must pass a CORI and background check
- Experience working with diverse populations such as all communities of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and individuals with disabilities
