Position Overview:

We are looking to engage a Senior Ux/Ui Designer to join our Content team and collaborate with engineers, Ux designers on all areas of front-end and Ui. Zenni is growing and evolving quickly and your Ux/Ui experience will be instrumental to our internal design team. This role requires outstanding technical knowledge of the process and tools for designing and creating Ui design and Ux systems.

The ideal candidate will be able to conceptualize the user experience flow from wireframe concepts or prototypes, to execution of concepts and asset creation for engineering. This successful candidate is expected to have proven experience within a similar role (with a supporting portfolio that exemplifies your work), be an exceptionally creative problem solver, good presenter of Ux design (and systems), with an intuitive Ui for our customers.

What we want you to own in this role:

  • Have a thorough understanding of front-end Ux flow
  • Can independently conceptualize, present, and implement ideas on schedule.
  • Build and implement Ux design and/or Ui art within a defined look & feel.
  • Develop and iterate on design concepts based on feedback.
  • Work with the Lead Ui/Ux Designer to define and understand functionality, design, and technical requirements.
  • Actively and constructively contribute to technical and artistic problem-solving across departments.
  • Possess a strong, established graphic design background and understanding of design principles.
  • Demonstrate understanding of aesthetics and branding requirements.
  • Be able to identify problems, advocate for, and provide solutions to improve department processes
  • Balance, organize, and prioritize tasks to meet timelines.
  • Mentor others and support the growth of peers in your area of expertise

What skills do you need?

  • Bachelor/Masters degree in graphic/interactive design or equivalent level of professional experience required.
  • Five + years of professional experience designing (Focus on fashion and apparel is a bonus)
  • Portfolio of design projects
  • Thorough knowledge of mobile and web designing techniques
  • Experience in user and market research
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and composition.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Proficient in Figma.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in JIRA or other project management programs preferred.

As of 09/25/2023, the expected salary range for this position is $145,000 to $160,000. Actual pay within this range will be based upon several factors, including without limitation education, work experience, certifications, geographic pay differentials, market conditions, and other business and organizational needs. The Company anticipates that the reasonably expected salary for this position could change in the future and, therefore, the Company retains the right to change, modify, or revisit the salary range for the position for various reasons, including the Company’s business needs.
