As a Sr. Service Operations Program Manager, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive, design, and develop innovative consumer products. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. You’ll work closely with a team of engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain experts to deliver a world class product at the right time, cost, and quality to Amazon’s customers. Experience in new product development, contract manufacturing management, cross functional core-team engagement, planning for delivery, and working in a high paced environment is a must.
Key job responsibilities
– Single Threaded Owner (STO) for all aspects of operational readiness of the program (NPI and Sustaining).
– Able to set the forward-looking direction and influence strategies to help develop product line roadmap.
– Define and guide decisions for the specific product, customer need, and launch schedule.
– Coordinate information flow and able to lead cross functional teams in support of manufacturing/operations
– Work with international supply chain, logistics, and procurement partners to deploy products.
– Drive alignment of processes and initiatives throughout Amazon’s Lab126 organization.
– Bring in and help incorporate industry best practices into enterprise business.
– Ability to travel to Asia up to 25%

The Sr. Service OPM is a high visibility, high impact role. This flexible leader will set the overall operational deliverables and strategy, while balancing daily execution of program reviews, customer engagement, service testing, operation planning, and more. This person will thrive by working independently with large, cross functional teams inside and outside Amazon, while working directly with our customers. This operator will enjoy creating clarity and transparency in ambiguous situations, and the end-to-end ownership over product operations strategy and execution.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline
– 5+ years of experience in development, manufacturing or supply chain mgmt. in devices (HW/SW)
– 5+ years of experience managing cross-functional projects and programs with tight deadlines
– 5+ years experience in operations, throughout the product life cycle from Concept to EOL
– Experience partnering and leading geographically dispersed and/or ad-hoc teams
– Experience in developing and writing white papers and presenting in executive level meetings
– Experience with developing and deploying organizational strategies and goals
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 10+ years of experience in SW/HW program development, manufacturing and new product ops environment
– Master’s or higher education in Operations Management, Engineering, or an MBA
– Proven ability to influence others and facilitate agreement among stakeholders with different interests
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Technical aptitude and familiarity with the design and utilization of consumer/enterprise electronics manufacturing and supply chain processes and systems
– Proven track record of complex and creative problem solving and the desire to create and build new processes
– Experience working in various geographic locations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
