Sr. Salesforce Architect, Amazon

The North America Consumer (NAC) ACES Team is looking for a smart, motivated, and hard-working Sr. Salesforce Architect to help implement and maintain a new Salesforce instance supporting NAC Retail teams. This is a high visibility project building a net-new Salesforce instance for one of Amazon’s largest businesses. In this role you will help define the long-term vision of how NAC Retail can use Salesforce to improve productivity and operate more efficiently. You will use your business judgement and technical experience to design and build compelling new products for thousands of internal customers in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

Key job responsibilities
• Own all technical aspects of the US Retail Salesforce instance such as integrations with internal tools, data quality, platform hygiene, systems configuration and maintenance, notification announcements, environment refresh, and AppExchange products.
• Manage configuration/coding of new and existing Salesforce features including user management, security, custom objects, page layouts, validations, workflows, flows, process builders, and other 3rd party applications.
• Partner with other system product owners to deliver tailored solutions that support business requirements, create a superlative user experience, and drive tangible business value.
• Pro-actively identify opportunities to leverage Salesforce in innovative ways to improve existing business processes, increase productivity, and support an organization scaling at a rapid pace.
• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and SMEs to support major project roll-outs, including training and troubleshooting for end-users.
• Manage Salesforce support requests and any escalated needs of users by providing prompt and complete resolution to technical challenges and business support issues.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 3+ years of programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby experience

– 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

– 2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

– 4+ years of systems development in an IT or data center environment experience

– 4+ years of deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment experience

– 2+ years of systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement experience

– Knowledge of at least one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl

– Experience leading the design, build and deployment of complex and performant (reliable and scalable) software solutions in production

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or similar mathematical/ scientific field

– 5+ years of experience with end to end product delivery

– 5+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology

– Experience working with enterprise level Salesforce instance (1,500+ users)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 1+ years of development/programming/scripting language (Python/Java/Bash/Perl) experience

– Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

– Experience taking a leading role in building complex software or computing infrastructure that has been successfully delivered to customers

– 5+ years Salesforce development experience

– Salesforce Advanced Administrator (ADM-211) and Developer (DEV-401) Certification

– Strong business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering, creating/deploying solutions to end users, and managing UAT/deployment process

– In-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the SFDC CRM application architecture coupled with a good understanding around the business processes (Sales, Marketing, Operations, etc.)

– Experience with basic Salesforce API connections for Salesforce native apps (ex. Quip), AppExchange products, and data pipelines (ex. Informatica, S3)

– Understanding of Scrum, Agile, and CI/CD development frameworks

– Exceptional attention to detail

– Verbal/written communication skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
