Sr. Program Manager

Amazon is looking for a highly motivated Sr. Program Manager who wants to work on a business that is growing at a rapid pace. As a Sr. Program Manager, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive, design and develop innovative products.

Our team is looking for Program Managers with a strong delivery record and proven program management experience owning strategic, tactical, cross-functional and technology projects. This role requires scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, creating and tracking metrics, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/program changes. Experience in cross-team coordination, program management, closing process gaps and presentation skills are essential.

Key job responsibilities

An ideal candidate is someone with a high degree of ownership who likes experimenting and setting high standards with a roll up your sleeves attitude.
• Must be able to think creatively, deal with ambiguity, and manage changing priorities. Candidates must be able to think strategically, yet execute methodically to deliver to the highest standards.
• Partner with other program managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones and deliver on-time
• Own program communication; accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely deliverables, removing barriers, closing gaps, and escalating as appropriate
• Influence the design and development of strategic processes.
• Work with program managers and business managers to communicate and impact critical business initiatives
• Develop, implement, and present key metrics for the program, providing visibility to the milestones and performance across all projects while using this data to influence business choices
• Engage other Amazon business units globally to communicate best practices
• Manage post-launch maintenance plans (e.g., post-mortem, issue/ticket management, etc.) and look for opportunities to improve program quality and operational excellence

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of program or project management experience

– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

– Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience defining and executing program requirements

– Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

– Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
