Sr. Product Manager – Workforce Planning Solutions, Amazon Fresh Stores

Where does our team come in? The Workforce Planning team is responsible for ensuring Amazon Fresh, North America locations are staffed and scheduled to support customer demand, business needs and financial plans. Our team owns all labor planning and scheduling workflows across a complex software stack and is seeking a product manager with previous ULG/Kronos Workforce Management Solutions experience to join our Workforce Planning Team and shape the future of scheduling and labor planning with Amazon Fresh Stores.

In this role, you will dive deep into Amazon’s workforce planning operations, how data is consumed and produced by our systems to improve outcomes and lower costs. You will be the end to end product owner, working across operations and tech teams to develop the strategic capabilities that enable us to optimize our labor planning and scheduling processes within UKG Dimensions, our primary scheduling software. This highly visible role, will have the opportunity to collaborate with Amazon’s other physical stores in the UK, Amazon Go and Amazon Style, working cross functionally with both operations and tech leaders to unlock and possibly standardize scheduling capabilities across business lines.

Collaborating across a highly matrixed complex set of stakeholders, this role will be responsible to evaluate business requirements, educate on capabilities and define solutions that can be implemented within Workforce Dimensions. Leveraging business requirements, this role will assist in defining use cases on how solutions will be utilized, oversee the assessment and implementation of various Kronos modules, devices, and/or solutions. As part of the AFS Workforce Planning vision, you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance on how to improve the existing configurations within AFS’s UKG Dimension to improve scheduling experience, optimize our existing workforce and reduce hour costs.

Key job responsibilities
• Provides advanced-level knowledge of the UKG Dimensions (Legacy Kronos Workforce Dimensions or Kronos Workforce Central) Advanced Scheduler module.
• Develops project plans and delivers on time and successful implementations of UKG (formerly Kronos) Workforce Dimensions modules.
• Uses data and analytics to evaluate and measure efficacy and impact changes and solutions with Workforce Dimensions.
• Evaluates business requirements and develops configurations that support optimize the workforce and improve scheduling experience.
• Defines and executes on delivery and implementation plans.
• Develops test plans and oversees troubleshooting techniques and best practices.
• Working knowledge of database design and business intelligence tools for the purpose of investigation and problem solving
• Owns end-user support during and after the implementation process, and partners appropriately for required training.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

– Experience with end to end product delivery

– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

– Experience as a product manager or owner

– Experience owning technology products

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or relevant experience

– Five or more years of experience in Workforce Management Systems (Kronos/UKG)

– Experience of exposure to additional capability with other relevant forecasting or scheduling platforms in Retail or Supply Chain.

– Experience with labor management, forecasting, scheduling, budgeting, payroll, and task management systems

– Strong knowledge of Project Management tools and methodologies

– Knowledge of core IE principles, including Labor Standards, MOST, and time studies preferred

– Working knowledge of business intelligence platforms, a bonus.

– Excellent knowledge and functional capabilities with MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and Outlook

– Strong communication skills both written and verbal and ability to work with both non tech and tech leaders.

– Demonstrates ability to assess and solve problems quickly

– Demonstrates strong Excel-based abilities, including data analysis and data manipulation techniques in support of translating client data into system requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

– Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
