A DAY IN THE LIFE:

The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for digital health product planning, management, and marketing for assigned product lines to provide users with best-in-class products and experiences. Translates market research into product and customer requirements, guiding products throughout their lifecycle. Identifies product and programs that drive growth for the company. Interfaces with all functional areas within the organization as well as external strategic partners.

  • Develops and drives the strategic direction of the assigned portion of the digital health product portfolio, ensuring alignment with other product initiatives and overall company strategy.
  • Identifies market and user requirements by gathering of voice of customer (VOC) information and proposes plans for the evolution of Tandem’s digital health portfolio, along with ongoing maintenance and improvement of in-market offerings, all supported by robust business cases.
  • Creates and manages short-medium – and long- term roadmaps that provide direction for other product managers and development teams.
  • Leads projects with notable risk and complexity; develops the strategy for project execution.
  • Engages with Tandem’s Engineering groups, Program Management Office (PMO), Regulatory, and Quality Affairs, to translate market and user requirements into specific product requirements and supports their ongoing prioritization of features consistent with product roadmaps.
  • Participates in cross-functional teams with Behavioral Sciences, User Experience, and Human Factors in the product development process to ensure system choices support Tandem’s roadmap and vice versa.
  • Engages with Commercial Product Marketing to develop appropriate marketing strategies and messaging for new products, including content for product education and training for HCPs and patients.
  • Functions as the internal champion for Tandem’s offerings and the primary contact for related roadmap and strategy questions.
  • Engages with clinical Key Opinion Leaders to create a strong network and drive ideation/creation of industry state of the art intelligence.
  • Communicates with management on product performance issues or market changes.
  • Acquires, analyzes, and acts on competitive and market research information.

YOU’RE AWESOME AT:

  • Skilled in translating market research into product and customer requirements, with great ability to adapt to changing needs as part of Agile product development.
  • Experience collaborating in the setting of strategic and tactical direction for the product line.
  • Ability to regularly monitor market trends, gaps and opportunities, competitor landscape and other internal and external factors.
  • Skilled at clearly conveying in-depth knowledge to all levels within, and outside of, the organization.
  • Skilled at working with different job functions and creating a cooperative team environment.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment and establish cooperative relationships with peers and key functional owners.
  • Able to objectively evaluate situations and make recommendations for changes in light of project demands.
  • Experience with Agile Software Development Methodology.
  • Proven ability to own web-based and mobile products throughout their lifecycle, including regular functionality iterations.
  • Ability to analyze internal business processes and customer needs and optimize their workflows via the right technology-based solutions.
  • Most important, passionate and enthusiastic, able to think beyond the obvious and drive the creation of products that will change the world!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
  • BS/BA degree in business, marketing, product management, health sciences, technology or related field or related field or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
  • MBA or advanced Product Management training preferred.
  • 5 years of related experience in B2B and B2C software development process and product management.
  • Experience in diabetes and/or consumer medical software preferred.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The starting base pay range for this position is $130,000 – 150,000 annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.

Tandem offers health care benefits such as medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts and flexible saving accounts. You’ll also receive 10 paid holidays per year, a minimum of 20 days of paid time off (accural starts on day 1) and have access to a 401k plan with company match.
