The Role
The Sr People Development Partner for Career Programs will lead the design and implementation of scalable and efficient programs to support the strategic upskilling of Tesla’s diverse global workforce. The Sr Partner will own projects with enterprise-wide visibility and work cross-functionally to drive innovative solutions for achieving strategic talent outcomes, including the attraction, development, and retention of top talent. The role is both hands-on and tactical, providing subject matter expertise in the areas of talent planning, career progression, competency mapping, employee engagement, change management, and leadership development. Responsibilities
- Lead the design of comprehensive career development resources for employees, people leaders, and HR partners
- Organize and execute workshops, trainings, and roundtables on career development topics, strategies, and best practices
- Advise and support business units in the design and management of competency mapping, job leveling, talent/succession planning, and career experience projects and programs
- Design, collect, and analyze data to proactively identify career mobility trends and evaluate program effectiveness
- Partner with stakeholders to develop, implement, and manage a portfolio of innovative career development solutions tailored to the diverse needs of Tesla’s workforce
- Support the design and integration of education initiatives, ensuring curriculum offerings align with Tesla’s broader talent strategies
- Participate in and support initiatives led by the broader People Development team and HR organization, including New Hire Onboarding, Leader Development, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Employee Engagement, People Operations, and Internal Content, providing career development expertise and perspective
Requirements
- BS/BA degree in a relevant field, including Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or Education, or the equivalent in work-related experience
- 3+ years’ experience in talent management and/or organizational development
- 3+ years’ experience in project/program management, with a proven track record of planning, executing, and shipping multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to effectively interact and influence across all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including an ability to build impact reporting infrastructure, synthesize complex data, and make data-driven recommendations
- Proven planning and organization skills, with extreme attention to detail and an ability to successfully manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment
- Experience working as part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team within an iterative process and an agile development methodology
- Thorough understanding of HR principles, concepts, practices, and standards
- Uncompromisingly results-driven and motivated self-starter with a superior ability to deliver on commitments
- Quick learner who can deal with uncertainty, complexity, and evolving responsibilities
- Strong passion for unlocking employee potential and driving upward mobility

- Expected Compensation
$60,000 – $252,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
