Responsibilities:
1. Conduct field investigations: Carry out on-site examinations to gather information for the design process.
2. Prepare calculations, reports, specifications, and presentations: Develop detailed documentation for the design and implementation of mechanical systems.
3. Respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs): Prepare and submit proposals in response to client requests.
4. Select equipment: Choose appropriate mechanical equipment based on project requirements.
5. Produce Mechanical and Plumbing drawings: Create detailed drawings for the design and installation of mechanical and plumbing systems.
6. Manage multi-discipline teams: Oversee teams from various disciplines to ensure effective collaboration and project success.
7. Review work completed by staff for quality control: Ensure the work done by team members meets the required standards.
8. Administer construction: Oversee the construction process to ensure the designs are implemented correctly.
9. Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of projects: Manage project timelines and budgets effectively.
10. Manage client relationships: Maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and excellent service.
11. Train and mentor junior staff: Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members, helping them develop their skills.
This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The Senior Mechanical Team Lead will also need to have strong communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and other stakeholders effectively.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of five years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
Minimum of 3+ years of consulting experience in healthcare, education, technology, government, or defense
PE – Professional Engineers License (Mechanical)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Knowledge of California Building Codes and Title 24 is desired.
USGBC LEED Accredited Professional (AP) certification is a plus.
