Sr. Manager TPM, PXT – Workforce Intelligence

We create global solutions using native AWS technologies that not only scale in volume, but also handle the complexity of diverse workflows and laws worldwide. Along the way, we experiment with the latest technologies and science models to make the hiring process better for hundreds of thousands of future Amazonians. We have one of the largest Data Engineering team building the foundation of globally available, reliable and secure data. We have Product Managers and Business Intelligence Engineers building prototypes to deliver quick wins and we have Product Managers, Scientists, and Developers who are building cutting edge solution from winning prototypes.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, technical, and senior-level leader to lead the technical program management team in the org. This team leads solution delivery and program management of the technology used by the organization, end-to-end.

The optimal candidate should be experienced in managing cross-cutting technical products and projects with industry-wide impact. You will have a proven track record of planning and delivering complex programs with multi-year roadmap, using Agile and incremental delivery methods. You must have experience working on complex software systems in a customer-centric environment, driven cross-group teams spread across multiple geographies and handled communication from technical developers to Senior VPs. As a tenured people manager, you will know how to build and grow a strong technical program team. We expect you to write strategic documents and influence large groups of senior stakeholders. You must be able turn ambiguous problems into simple solutions. A successful candidate for this possesses superb business judgment, a high degree of customer-obsession, has a track record of delivering results, is strong on collaboration, and is data driven.

Key job responsibilities

You Will:

* Lead a team of senior technical program managers

* Work with engineering, product management, operations, marketing, legal, etc. to deliver the Hiring intelligence, globally

* Manage complex cross team programs from ideation to delivery

* Create transparency and predictability with roadmaps, planning, and partner management

* Ensure goals are met on time and hitting our quality bar

* Manage delivery schedules and emergent tasks while mitigating risks, managing tradeoffs, and eliminating blockers

* Participate in architectural decisions, surfacing and mitigating technical risks, driving complex integrations with internal and 3rd party solutions, retiring technical debt, and identifying opportunity to create operational efficiencies

* Set and embody the team culture and standards consistent with Amazon’s leadership principals

* Drive alignment with leadership in operations and other people experience tech teams

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* 7+ years of technical product or program management experience * 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience * 5+ years of people management experience, a leader of leaders * Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules * Experience delivering cloud native solutions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems * 10+ years of executive communication. Effective written and oral communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical sides of the business * 3+ years of delivering intelligence products working with data engineer and data scientists * 3+ years delivering AWS-native solutions * Experience with domain-driven design, micro-service and event-driven architectures, CI/CD engineering practices * AWS certifications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $155,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $302,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
