The Role: Product Owner, Energy Studio Impact

The Location: Houston, TX

The Team: This team is responsible for the real-time analytics platform, Energy Studio Impact. Impact is a tool based on cutting edge technology that brings together data from across Commodity Insights to allow for speed-of-curiosity insights into our content sets. Our team works at a fast pace in order to continually provide as much value to our clients as possible.

The Impact: This role will help us focus on growing our analytics-ready well and production dataset to add new derivative calculations that address client workflows. In addition, this role will continue to help integrate additional content sets to provide a single user experience to clients regardless of their subscription. With a tremendous amount of growth in the platform since we launched 18 months ago, this role is critical in continuing that trajectory.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the product manager on creating and prioritizing requirements based on product vision and roadmap
  • Owns of the analytics-ready upstream well and production dataset
  • Translates requirements into clear user stories for product development scrum teams to implement
  • Coordinate with other teams on requirements for integrating new datasets into the platform
  • Owns the backlog
  • Presents project business case to internal stakeholders for approval

What We’re Looking For:

Key Qualifications

  • Experience with BI Tools (ex: Spotfire, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience in content operations, product development or customer support preferred
  • Experience working with Upstream content and products preferred
  • Understanding of both the technical as well as the financial components of Upstream industry ideal

Other Skills

  • Excellent time management, analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with business and technical team product members and to foster team collaboration with office-based and remote colleagues

Grade/Level ( relevant for internal applicants only ): Grade 12

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary for this position is $90,000. Base salary may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
