A DAY IN THE LIFE:
The Sr. Finance Data Analyst I – BI will be responsible for supporting the finance department with a focus on Business Intelligence (BI). This position plays an integral role in analyzing complex data, driving strategic decision making and improving operational efficiency around finance focused areas such as warranty, bad debt, and customer aging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and understand business requirements, translating into technical specifications for Business Intelligence solutions.
- Develop and maintain efficient and scalable data models and data structure to support the Finance department and business reporting and analytic needs.
- Understand and ability to write SQL queries to extract, manipulate and analyze large datasets from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Design and create dashboards and reports for key stakeholders.
YOU’RE AWESOME AT:
- Advanced ability to gather and analyze large amounts of data from different data sources.
- Experience with business intelligence tools, Power BI and Tableau experience preferred.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and querying
- Strong experience in excel for data analysis.
- Familiar with data warehouse concepts
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills. Work experience with large volumes of data in Excel utilizing advanced functions such as v-lookup, pivot tables, formulas, model building.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A/B.S.) in Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics or related field, or combination of equivalent education and applicable work experience.
- Familiarity with accounting and finance concepts a plus
- 5 plus years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, with a focus on BI and data analysis

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting base pay range for this position is $100,000 – $130,000 annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.
Tandem offers health care benefits such as medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts and flexible saving accounts.
