Job Title: Sr. Azure Data Engineer (remote)
Role/Responsibilities:
Design and manage BI end user presentation layer training and documentation.
Architect and develop data models, ETL packages, OLAP cubes and reports utilizing Power BI applying best practices to the development lifecycle
Documentation of source-to-target mappings data dictionaries
Innovation and Thought Leadership
- Participate in external forums (seminars, paper presentations, etc.) to showcase Cognizant capabilities and insights under guidance of senior team members
- Understand clients existing business and explore new avenues to save cost and bring process efficiency
- Identify business opportunities to create reusable components/accelerators and reuse existing components and best practices
- Support the patent filing process for the IP assets created (applicable to some CoEs)
Technology Consulting
- In collaboration with the Sr. Architect analyze application/ technology landscape process tools and arrive at the solution options best fit for the client
- Analyze Cost Vs Benefits of solution options
- Support Sr. Architect to create a technology/ architecture roadmap for the client
Alliance Management
- Identify alliance partners based on the understanding of service offerings and client requirements
- In collaboration with Sr. Architect, create a compelling business case around the offerings
- Conduct beta testing of the offerings
Required Qualifications:
- Experience 12 to 16 years
- Knowledge of Data warehousing concepts and star schema
- Efficient Azure ADF/ADB Model designing techniques
- Handling high volume data with Azure ADF/ADB and excellent SQL knowledge
- Understanding of various Azure ADF/ADB concepts and its effective usage based on requirements
- ETL Performance tuning
- Design and manage BI end user presentation layer training and documentation.
- Architect and develop data models, ETL packages, OLAP cubes and reports utilizing Power BI applying best practices
- Has extensive experience in Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence & Analytics architecting and execution.
- Data Platform Design (Azure and On – Prem).
- Microsoft Data Platform (SQL Server, ASQLDB, Synapse, ADF, ADLS)
- Azure Technologies with specific focus on Storage Databases and Ingestion
Salary and Other Compensation :
The annual salary for this position is between $125,000 – $135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
