Zynga is looking for an experienced Senior Product leader who can own outcomes, drive results, create fun for our players, and directly impact the business performance of the large-scale games across our studio division. As Senior Director of Product, you will ultimately be accountable for each team’s product roadmap, and top line business outcomes, along with career development of Product Managers within each studio in the division. This role is a pivotal part of the cross-discipline leadership team, and reports directly to the SVP, Studios.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing a consortium of games in live operations and development, supporting game teams’ to achieve their product and KPI goals, and ensuring best in class product management practices applied across the studio organization.
  • Support and mentor the Directors of Product for each game franchise while working to develop future product leaders.
  • Collaborate with the other respective discipline leaders of the studio division (Operations, Production, Tech, etc.) to drive overall business growth, a healthy culture, and productive and happy teams.
  • Monitor and recognize key game KPI trends across the product portfolio and communicate those trends and risks to the rest of the studio division leadership team. Work with the game franchise product leaders to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Engage with game teams to drive product design or innovation that represents a meaningful contribution to the company.
  • Manage expectations and communicate optimally to both the game team’s as well as up to senior executives.
  • Ensure team’s product decisions are based on strong analysis combined with intuitive design. Define analytics standards in partnership with an analytics manager.
  • Inform and validate roadmap/product direction through proactive customer engagement methods and Consumer Insights partnership.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management in consumer web or game development is helpful but not required.
  • Capable of leading product strategy and vision across the studio division.
  • Ability to provide competitive analysis and strategic direction for any feature.
  • Leader who defines experimentation best practices including experiment design, analysis methodologies, experiment reports and readouts.
  • Strong manager who ensures reports are receiving mentorship, training, and feedback.
  • Passion for games and crafting fun, compelling and exciting user experiences.
  • Outstanding written/oral, organizational, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
  • BA/BS degree.

The pay range for this position in New York City at the start of employment is expected to be between $228,000 and $271,000 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
