JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES:

As a Specialist in Intermodal Innovation, you will serve in a product ownership capacity to support the enhancement and delivery of new and existing intermodal technology products. From product definition and planning through production and release, you will assist with designing, modifying and managing the various activities related to specific intermodal technology products.

This is an entry-level role designed to offer the opportunity to engage deeply with multiple intermodal products and develop robust skillsets around product design and project management.

  • Work with subject matter experts and other departmental teams to define business requirements, manage changes, remove roadblocks, and communicate those changes to stakeholders. Gather data to create end user stories and assist in preparing for product launches.
  • Plan and prioritize Intermodal product development and product feature backlog. Mitigate roadblocks to achieving sprint/release goals.
  • Monitor product health and tracks statistics on use and adoption; gather and translate feedback into enhancement recommendations.
  • Create reference guides and other materials for internal communication and collateral to support training and new feature rollout
  • Participate in quality assurance and testing of new features and applications
  • Execute tactical duties that support Intermodal technology products and participate in ad-hoc issue resolution.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years of experience in transportation, operations, logistics or technology; or equivalent experience in a project management, product ownership or business analyst role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain/Logistics, Technology, or related field
  • Some travel required (approximately 10-20%)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working knowledge of all aspects of the product development lifecycle and agile project management methodology
  • Highly developed analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills, with proven success applying them independently
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills, with an eye to clarity and conciseness
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across teams to drive collaboration and delivery
  • Exceptionally organized self-starter, efficient and thrives under pressure
  • Curiosity, open-mindedness, and an unfailingly positive attitude
