Job Description:
Seeking intermediate professional with practical knowledge of real time device systems testing and test engineering. Testing responsibilities include analyzing product behaviors against system requirements. Works under general supervision. May be responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area. Develops and implements both hardware and software system level test programs, plans, specifications, procedures and customer acceptance. Communicates with contacts inside and outside own team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. Works to meet program technical, schedule and cost objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Work consists of making moderate and innovative adjustments to systems and processes to solve problems. Identify, define and address general problems that are typically within the immediate job area and outside of job area.
- Develop real time hardware/software testing capabilities and tools for testing GPS systems.
- Perform GPS system evaluations to ensure products adhere to required functionality and behaviors.
- Peform GPS security testing and analysis.
- Generate and produce documentation of testing efforts.
- Provide regular status and updates to program and/or company leadership.
- Some weekends and evenings will be required.
- Occasional travel required (~5%)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- 2 or more years experience with emphasis on Test Engineering processes with Graduate Degree
- 4 or more years experience with emphasis on Test Engineering processes with Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 or more years experience in developing and executing applications via programming and scripting languages (e.g. C, C++, Python). This experience needs to include developing data reduction and analysis applications for evaluating real time systems behaviors.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Ability to work well with technical and non-technical staff
- Familiarity with GPS system technology.
- Applied Mathematics background.
- Has had MATLAB application experience.
- Has had Tableau application experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $80,000 – $148,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
