Description of Duties:
The Space Product Lead supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
- Support the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract in support of the
- Missile Defense Agency (MDA) directorate. – The work operates within a combination of scalable, flexible, virtualized infrastructure and physical hardware, providing data transport, storage, processing and cyber-services to support the MDA Space Systems’ RTD&E and future missions.
- Administer a suite of space systems projects, ranging in complexity, from inception to completion.
- Skillfully oversee project scope, schedule, and financial commitments supporting contract goals in collaboration with all stakeholders.
- Plan and schedule project deliverables using established earned value tool sets.
- Administer expectations, resolve issues and conflicts, and develop mitigation plans.
- Support event administration and critical asset processes.
- Author and deliver proposals, status reports, and executive level presentations.
This position can be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO.
This position is expected to pay $170,300 – $195,300 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Basic Requirements:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 16 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 14 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 10 years of general experience
- Must have 9 years of space experience (systems engineer, documentation, and/or any other engineering)
- Must have 3 years of documented experience in management or leadership roles
- Must have an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
Desired Requirements:
- Must have experience in project/portfolio resource planning, reporting, prioritization, and budgeting
- Must have experience working in Model Based Systems Engineering
- Must have experience performing functional analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
- Must have experience successfully driving projects to completion while integrating matrixed resources
- Must be proficient in Agile/DevOps
- Must be an experienced Scrum Master
- Must have experience in the development and deployment for tools for monitoring and operations
- PMP Certified
- ITIL Certified
- Earned Value Management and Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience
- Experience managing high dollar-value projects ranging in complexity
- Experience managing geographically separated project teams
- Experience managing projects in traditional waterfall and/or agile methodologies
- Missile Defense System (MDS) Domain knowledge
- Previous experience with system engineering fundamentals
- Cognitive ownership of their project deliverables and partner with matrixed resources to deliver results according to customer expectations
