Piper Companies is looking for a DevOps Engineer for a Mortgage Insurance Company for a Contract to Hire opportunity for a Hybrid role in Bethesda, MD
Responsibilities for the DevOps Engineer:
• Building, deployment, and maintenance of multiple AWS environments
• Management of CI/CD processes for chef automation
• Scripting with Ruby, Shell (Linux – Bash) or PowerShell (Windows) providing Level 2 support, managing tickets from various IT and business units
Qualifications for the DevOps Engineer:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with automating CI/CD pipelines
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Python and Shell scripting
• Ability to design and implement a hybrid architecture using key AWS (required)/ Azure(Preferred) technologies as well as CI/CD processes
• Mastering CI/CD Pipeline (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) and Automation of the environments (Cloud and OnPrem)
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker containers
• H ands-on exp e rience with multiple technology areas like API, Microservices, Event Streaming, Logging & Monitoring, Databases (SQL, NoSQL), Containers, Serverless Frameworks, AI & ML, etc.), API Platform (Apigee), Kafka, AMQ
• Very strong communication skills and ability to work with a team
• AWS Certified (preferred), other relevant technical certifications in DevOps related technologies
• At least Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
Compensation for the DevOps Engineer:
• Hourly pay rat up to $74/hour
• Hybrid Schedule – 2 days a week in office
