We are hiring an experienced Sous Chef for an awesome new upscale concept in downtown Nashville! This person will be in charge of shared culinary creativity with the Chef de Cuisine, develop a large BOH team, help control financial budgets, and build upon the family-type culture our company is proud of.
Requirements
- Responsible for the development and discipline of all staff within the department
- Coordinate cooks and BOH staff to ensure the highest quality of food and service
- Continually update and amend policies and procedures for the BOH operation
- Monitor to ensure all food prep and presentation meets and/or exceeds company standards
- Oversee all ordering or products and communication with vendors
- Lead and/or attend weekly management meetings with restaurant managers and executive leadership
- Maintain the highest level of service within all areas of the restaurant
- 1-6 years’ experience as a Sous Chef
- Experience in full service/high volume restaurant (300+ covers/night)
- Proven track record and work history (no more than 3 jobs in past 6 years)
- Ability to effectively manage a team of 20+ BOH employees
- Bilingual, English-Spanish is a plus
