What You Will Do:

  • Order & receive aircraft parts.
  • Perform receiving inspections of all materials to include paperwork accuracy.
  • Maintain stockroom, parts database, SDS Library, and other associated paperwork.
  • Determine sourcing vendor according to contract requirements.
  • Work with records to obtain and record proper time and cycles of removed components for the life of the part.

Official Position Description:

Based on job duties, this position is designated as NOT telework eligible.

In Office of Aviation, solicits & evaluates proposals from vendors pertaining to aircraft parts using a computer & related software (e.g., Microsoft Office), makes recommendations & monitors supplier performance for a range of routine, established, customary requirements. Interprets contracts for purchasing of materials & for billing review. Researches & identifies sources for ambiguous parts & materials needed to maintain older fleet aircrafts ensuring parts meet aviation standards. Processes & selects bids; estimates requests for multiple award contracts. Performs Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) paperwork review in accordance with FAA & ODOT Repair Station requirements; coordinates with vendors to correct issues pertaining to paperwork.

Receives & distributes stock & supplies in one-person storeroom under general supervision of Aircraft Maintenance Superintendent &/or Aviation Manager. Maintains aviation parts room inventory (e.g., orders stock, supplies & equipment). Reviews invoices & packing slips & compares with purchase orders in order to ensure correct items & quantities are received. Operates forklift as needed; unloads stock, inspects for damage & stocks in storeroom. Uses computer & related software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel) to prepare inventory & related reports. Cleans & organizes storeroom. Travels to transport &/or deliver parts & supplies.

Uses a computer & related software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel) to maintain records. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned (e.g., attends meetings & training sessions).

Qualifications
Completion of associate core program in public or business administration, purchasing/procurement, materials management, contracting, acquisition management, logistics, strategic procurement, purchasing management, supply chain management or other sourcing related field. -Or 18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in purchasing/procurement/sourcing. -Or 6 mos. exp. as Sourcing Associate, 64511. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above
