Our global Financing franchise is one of the most profitable after capital costs on the street. We need software engineer to further build our quantitative based systems to improve how we position our book on behalf of our clients in the most optimal way.
Your team:
You’ll be working in the Financing quantitative analytics and development team based in New York.
Our team is responsible for building top grade, high performance quantitative based systems and helping to optimize funding costs, lending offerings, inventory and collateral management, Delta1 products pricing, risk management and client interaction.
Responsibilities:
- Understand market dynamics and build scalable data solutions to identify opportunities for Prime brokerage, Delta 1 trading, inventory management, funding, lending and collateral optimization
- Build out analytics for client analysis, inventory internalization, risk minimization and balance sheet efficiencies
- Build systems for explaining Profit & Loss, Risk and OTC products pricing including models for axes /inventory impact / funding etc
- Participate in technology design discussions for scalability and performance
Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in Python and SQL
- Familiar with UNIX and Scripting
- Experience in software engineering, data pipeline build-out and visualization
- Experience in implementing high performance software solutions
- Experience with full SDLC lifecycle
- A science or engineering degree in computer science, engineering, physics or mathematics
- Knowledge / understanding of funding and lending markets, Delta 1 products, balance sheet, Profit & Loss measures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 – $95,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
