The Public Policy and Government Affairs (PPGA) team helps PepsiCo navigate the increasingly volatile and complex policy and regulatory landscape in which our company operates. By anticipating opportunities and risks, we facilitate positive environments and avoid discriminatory regulations. Further, our proactive engagement with a range of external stakeholders ensures PepsiCo has a seat at the negotiating table and allows us to help shape fair policies that are science-based and protect consumer choice.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage internal stakeholders and external resources to inform and support PepsiCo executive engagement on key issues with critical stakeholders
  • Partner across team to develop strategic briefing documents for the CEO and senior executives to inform and guide engagement with government officials, civil society and other key global stakeholders, ensuring the work product is accurate, informative, clear and aligned with broader business initiatives
  • Create and review key deliverables including suggested talking points, policy memos, infographics, PowerPoint presentation decks and engagement letters
  • Promote knowledge-sharing across the function by leveraging digital tools
  • Manage relationships with relevant external vendors
  • Support the development of templates, tracking documents and other collateral for use by the broader function
  • Organize and help lead relevant webinars and other training exercises intended to support teams across the function
  • On an ad-hoc basis, supplement broader team projects and act as a force-multiplier for the function’s activities

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $68,000 -$113,850 based on a full-time schedule
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in communications, public policy, government or media / journalism

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional written communication and review skills and strong familiarity with AP Style guidelines
  • Ability to communicate confidently with associates and senior leaders at all levels across an international organization
  • Experience in delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines with limited supervision
  • Critical attention to detail and processes
  • Strong research and analysis skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to grow within a matrixed, multinational corporation
  • General interest in and knowledge of global issues, trends and business challenges affecting the food and beverage (F&B) / consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry
  • Experience using or willingness to learn additional software tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Tableau)
