Position Overview
The Division of Family and Community Services is seeking to hire an individual to facilitate program excellence and support the Bureau’s network of community-based grantees. This position acts as a liaison to assigned program area and grantees; provides program monitoring and technical assistance; facilitates establishment and implementation of grant award program; works with Program Manager to resolve grantee issues and improve service delivery; serves on internal and external committees to address domestic and sexual violence and human trafficking; and assists with crafting, monitoring, implementing and interpreting Bureau policies, procedures, and protocols to promote efficient and effective services.
Job Responsibilities
- Conceptualizes, designs, and implements management studies, develops strategies, and analyzes issues related to Bureau Grant Award Programs in assigned areas.
- Serves as liaison to assigned program and agencies.
- Assists the Program Manager to resolve grantee issues or problems.
- Assists with crafting, monitoring, implementing and interpreting Bureau policies, procedures, and protocols to promote efficient and effective services.
- Represents the Bureau at onsite and/or WebEx meetings and/or conferences with other bureaus, divisions, grantees, stakeholders, and/or state and federal government representatives.
- Assists with grantmaking process in assigned areas.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of master’s degree.
- Requires two (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience in community organization, social service work or in program planning and development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years of professional experience monitoring grantee performance, including conducting quality reviews, providing technical assistance and support and ongoing communication with grantees.
- Two (2) years of professional experience performing highly technical and independent duties in the administration of grants programs, including design planning, contract development, resolving service delivery issues and recommending corrective action or solutions.
- Two (2) years of professional experience planning, developing, implementing, and reviewing policies and procedures for a public or private organization.
- Two (2) years of professional experience working with Federal and state reporting requirements.
- Two (2) years pf professional experience serving as a liaison or representing agency/unit on internal and external work groups, committees or special projects.
- Two (2) years of professional experience working with program objectives and social policy for public and private organizations.
Conditions of Employment
- Requires ability to travel with overnight stays.
