Your role at Baxter:

The Site Training Representatives perform training and maintain courses, curricula, and other documentation within the training function for various departments. They serve as the site contact and subject matter experts (SME) for the Learning Management System (LMS). This position reports to the site lead for L&D and Training.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Works with content matter experts, SMEs, department trainers, leadership, and the site L&D/training lead to design, develop, implement, and deliver specific training and development initiatives to meet training needs across the facility.
  • Creates, modifies, and manages courses, qualifications, curricula, e-learning, and other training material in various formats.
  • Supports the facility trainer network (customer service, strategic planning, and communication).
  • Provides regular direction, support, and real-time help desk and other support to the LMS users (Learning Professionals, Plant Audit Support, and other roles).
  • Resolve sophisticated problems, quickly ascertain the impact of the issues and communicate problem resolutions in a timely and effective manner. Collaborates regularly with other local training roles to obtain additional system knowledge and/or sound and expedient problem resolution.
  • Collaborate with the Site Training Specialist to monitor L&D Track-it tickets to ensure appropriate fulfillment/closure.
  • Assists with the implementation of new or existing functionality in the LMS.
  • May be assigned training-related corrective action/preventive actions.
  • Owns and maintains as current site-specific procedures and supporting documents related to the LMS and ensures compliance to relevant governing procedures.
  • The role also provides analysis and training documentation for internal and external audit and department requirements; supports the Quality Auditing function with reports and analysis as requested.
  • Provides reports of training metrics to drive training compliance and skills development.
  • Additional responsibilities include the ability to concurrently manage independent projects as well as responding to and implementing corporate-level initiatives.
  • Requires minimal management oversight. Capable of changing direction at a moment’s notice as needed/directed by the business, Management, or Corporate. Serves as a champion of change. Works productively and effectively in either an independent setting or team environment.
  • Seeks creative approaches to training and communications to accommodate the diverse knowledge levels of the end-user population which includes all levels of employees and managers.
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives/Lean/Six Sigma Events.
  • Facilitates and/or coordinates facilitation for New Hire Orientation.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1 year training/learning and development experience or high school diploma with 5 years of experience working in training/learning and development and/or with a Learning Management System
  • Knowledge of and previous work experience under FDA 21 CFR Parts 210 and 211 and/or other regulatory agencies.
  • Demonstrate initiative and project/priority management skills.
  • Well-honed interpersonal, communications, influencing, and negotiating skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and previous experience with a validated LMS preferred.

Physical / Safety Requirements:

  • Duties may require overtime work, including nights and weekends.
  • Use of hands and fingers to manipulate office equipment is required.
  • Position requires sitting and standing for long hours but may involve walking or standing for periods of time.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a salary range of $52,800 to $132,000 and also includes an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
