Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer who has software development and system administration experience. In this role you will use your experience to formulate and implement automation solutions to support application and systems monitoring. You will provide DevOps like support to a critical production team assisting with the implementation and maintenance of Dev, Test and Production systems in Linux environments. Your duties will include system administration of large complex systems running Apache NiFi for transporting and processing huge data sets and streams.
Qualifications
Required:
- BS Degree with at least 12 years of systems engineering, DevSecOps, or software engineering; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
- Team focused, willing to develop and implement solutions in a team environment using agile development.
- Strong ability to identify and solve problems across many different systems, applications, operating systems, and networks.
- Demonstrable experience with system monitoring, system instrumentation, analytics and metrics reporting.
- Ability to write python, java, or bash scripts.
- Experience with RDBMS and SQL using RDS, PostgreSQL, MariaDB.
- Demonstrable experience with Sponsor cloud solutions.
- Ability to produce technical documentation and diagrams for architecture, implementation guides, and security (ATO).
- Experience with Agile collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence.
- Strong user level unix skills
Desired:
- Demonstrable experience in Linux systems administration and script development.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar DevOps tools.
- Experience in CI/CD pipeline creation with Jenkins, GitLab, etc.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm

Target Salary Range
$146,000 – $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
