For fun at work, just add water! Make a splash this summer working at the Shawnee Municipal pools! The Site Coordinator position is responsible for the daily organization and execution of the Shawnee progressive swim lesson program. Site Coordinators communicate directly with patrons and students with regard to questions related to swim lessons. Current pay for the Site Coordinator position begins at $16.00 per hour. Additional compensation is provided for employees who return after each season.
Position Responsibilities
- Schedule, train and assist swim instructors throughout the swim lesson season.
- Field all questions and respond to concerns related to swim lessons from parents and/or guardians.
- Assign students in correct progressive levels of instruction.
- Evaluate students at the completion of course and enter the data related to final results in the RecTrac software system.
- Maintain course completion records and distribute to parents and/or guardians at the end of each session.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age before May 31, 2023
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and Oxygen Administration certifications, or the ability to obtain prior to the start of the pool season
- Previous swim instruction/swimming pool work experience preferred.
- Lifeguard/PA certification preferred.
