Responsibilities

Assists the Simulation Center and Procedural Skills Mastery Lab with activities surrounding pre and post simulation events, running all simulation-related equipment, performing routine maintenance on all Simulation Center equipment, assisting with data collection and documentation, troubleshooting technical issues, assisting with inventory management, supports operation, troubleshooting and repair of simulation systems and supporting activities, as assigned to maintain quality and effective simulations.

This position is a combination of remote and onsite support work. Individual must live within driving distance to the Mayo Clinic Rochester campus.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree with three year’s experience working in an IT, media support or patient care position within a hospital or clinical setting; or a Bachelor’s degree with one year experience working in an IT, media support or patient care position within a hospital or clinical setting. Computer skills required. Must be able to lift/carry a minimum of 25 pounds and push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds.

Additional Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience with audiovisual and technical systems acquired through one year of formal education and/or related experience. High degree of comfort with computer technology. Experience supporting and troubleshooting audiovisual systems. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Flexibility in work hours that includes off hours and weekends to support SIM Center programs/courses. Demonstrated good judgment and critical thinking skills when handling a variety of procedural and technical tasks with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) preferred.
