Shop Foreman

Job Description:

As the Shop Foreman, ___________ will oversee the fabrication of props for Red Door. The Shop Foreman reports to the Head of Production.

This job will consist of three parts:

(1) Work alongside and lead members of the Production Team to fabricate escape episodes that meet key performance indicators.

(2) Manage members of the Production team and provide vision for their growth on an individual and departmental level.

(3) Identify improvement areas and develop processes to streamline builds and improve organization.

As the Shop Foreman, ___________ will be responsible for the following: .

• Supervising and leading a team of 15 – 25 carpenters, electricians, and painters to produce and maintain high quality props and puzzles.
• Purchasing items and materials.

• Ensuring props and puzzle builds are properly documented.

• Working with other teams and departments to solve production and maintenance issues.

• Incrementally challenging team members.
• Understanding the design team vision and cultivating team buy-in to the vision.
• Ensuring team members receive proper training.
• Providing frequent communication on key skills and concrete steps for improving
• Hold weekly meetings, including but not limited to, a weekly team meeting, weekly 1-on-1’s with department leads and managers, and monthly 1-on-1’s with direct reports.
• Championing team culture
• Keeping the shop in good working order
• Learning new methods of production

• Identifying areas for improvement
• Improving Red Door’s production techniques and best practices
• Regulating innovation and change responsibly.

3. Providing accurate and timely documentation.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s):

• Location builds are on time and on budget
• Accurate documentation of time and expenses

Job Details:

• Pay Rate: $47,000 – $51,000 per year depending on experience..
• Health, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance upon 60 days of employment.
• 120 hours of Paid Time Off to be accrued annually.
• Paid Holidays.
• Bonus structure to be determined within the first 30 days of employment.
