Candidates must have law enforcement or military experience, and a high school degree or equivalent. Additionally, experience monitoring large crowds and current active shooter training are both a plus.
Duties Description The New York State Senate is seeking multiple part-time Session Sergeant-at-Arms for the 2023 Senate session. Duties include but are not limited to:
• Keeping order during the Senate Session
• Maintaining security in the State Capitol, and all Senate offices
• Protecting the members of the Senate
Additional Comments This is a part-time position with an hourly salary range of $33.00 to $38.00, commensurate with education and experience. The Senate is in session January through June. Hours will vary.
