JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX Sports is looking for a Senior Writer/Producer to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. The Senior Writer/Producer is responsible for leading and overseeing the topical promotion production for our events, spearheading smaller shoots, and leading and overseeing a creative team in making on-air promos for the FOX Sports Marketing group in Charlotte. The role is vital to handle projects Creative Director’s cannot take on, while also maintaining their workload. The Senior Writer/Producer will guide their team that typically includes editors, designers, VFX artists, music composers, and sound designers. The Senior Writer/Producer reports to the Senior Creative Director, On-Air Promotions and is responsible for initiating and overseeing every creative aspect of their projects.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Originate ideas and concepts, develop pitches, oversee and supervise all aspects of spot and campaign creation including design, music, visual effects, animation, and graphic applications for original campaigns and promos, production of new commercials and promos airing across our networks
- Ensure work is being delivered on time, on budget, on message
- Direct work of in-house and out-of-house editors, designers, animators, sound designers, etc.
- Creation of new on-air spots
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- 5+ years related experience in commercial filmmaking, feature filmmaking, advertising agency, motion graphics or VFX studio, post-production studio, or network on-air promotions department
- Outstanding verbal and written communication
- Exceptional negotiation, presentation skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects successfully
- Excellent leadership skills
- Basic computer office skills

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $105,000.00-120,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
